Pastor Todd, his wife Sharlene, and two daughters, Erin and Liesel, have accepted the call and are presently pastoring the Ketchikan Seventh-day Adventist Church, in Ketchikan,Alaska.

 

Pastor Todd is pursuing his Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry, out of Andrews University. The Ervin's have been very active in church ministry, with 20 years at their home church of South Flint Seventh-day Adventist Church, in the Greater Flint, Michigan area.

 

Pastor Todd served as the Head Elder for a number of years, then was commissioned the Resident Lay Minister of South Flint. In September, 2010, they began their new ministry in Ketchikan, Alaska. Pastor Todd had worked for General Motors for over 21 years, as a senior forecast analyst, supply chain management, prior to answering God's call into full-time ministry. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Supervision and Management out of Central Michigan University, and an Associate of Arts from Charles Stewart Mott Community College, in Flint, Michigan.

 

Pastor Todd's greatest passion is people, and sharing the love of Jesus and His precious truth's with them. One of the highlights of having the opportunity to share God's Word is back in 2000 Pastor Todd served on an evangelistic team to Aizawl, India. His favorite hobbies are family and friends, visiting people, loves gardening and landscaping, reading, cooking, communicating with people via the internet or 'snail' mail, and traveling. And when asked what his favorite food is, he will enthusiastically respond, " My mother's homemade lemon meranque pie!".



Sharlene has been practicing Occupational Therapy for over 20 years, and has her Bachelor of Science degree in O.T. from Loma Linda University. She absolutely enjoys her profession, and is currently working for the Peace Health Hospital System here in Ketchikan. She has been heavily involved in Children's Ministries over the years and it is the youth that has become her greatest passion. Sharlene is a Master Guide in the Pathfinder department, which is a large youth ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Her favorite hobbies are family and friends, cooking, and traveling with her husband and daughters. They have been blessed with many traveling opportunities. Sharlene has served as a missionary to the Dominican Republic two times in her life through Pathfinders.

 

Erin, the oldest daughter, is currently attending the University of Alaska-Southeast, here in Ketchikan. She is pursuing a bachelor's degree in graphic arts and design, and plans on transferring to Southern Adventist University in the near future. Her favorite hobbies are culinary arts, photography, and of course, the computer. She has surprised her family and friends with some of the food she has whipped up! Erin likes her new home, and the small town feel that you have here in Ketchikan.

 

Liesel, the youngest, is in high school, currently being homeschooled. Liesel has a love for life, and enjoys traveling with her family, seeing the sights. Her favorite hobbies are animals, reading, and as most young adults her age, the computer. She is in the eleventh grade, and keeps in close contact with her family and friends back home in Michigan. She is enjoying her new surroundings, and loves the wildlife here in Southeast Alaska!
